This has all the elements of a great picture. Beautiful composition, rich tones, and adorable hedgehogs. Composition, tone and hedgehogs, the triangle of photography. I love it, again!

Good morning, Magda,
it is a very beautiful picture. The warm colors are very harmonious. I think that the little hedgehog in this environment feels comfortable. The shining eyes and spines of the hedgehog come, excellent expression. For that I give you 5 stars ***** Have a nice day. Dear greetings Christel

15 Apr 2010 10:34am

@Christel: Thank you very much Christel.

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

What fun ... I know nothing about hedgehogs so will have do some searching. In this picture he looks spiny, but yesterday's look softer, the way Tara is holding him (or her). Are they sharp, or is that just the coloring of its fur?

15 Apr 2010 11:25am

@Judy: It is a very unusual pet, that's for sure. The spikes are sharp and when the hedgehog is upset or scared they are super sharp and standing up. Tara just puts up with it! ;) I need a cloth or gloves to hold it LOL When the hedgehog is happy the quills are down and you can easily hold it and pet it - they feel soft then. She is still young and getting used to us so she isn't as happy all the time. ;) And the noise she makes it reminds us of a train!

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

Monique from Koh Samui, Thailand

They are lovely! And such a coincidence ... I was thinking last week of buying a hedgehog because they are great snake catchers, but I'm afraid it will wander of and a Thai will catch it and eat it, because Thai people eat anything :)

15 Apr 2010 3:15pm

@Monique: It would and I would hate to hear that someone ate him!
