PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United States

Very cool! Funny, I was thinking Hobbits before I read your description.

17 Apr 2009 5:12am

@PD: :) That is funny how you thought of that!

Bill from Los Altos, United States

Fantastic old tree stump - looks like first growth to me. What a great natural playground for the kids. I love how they are dressed the same here: curious, are they twins?

17 Apr 2009 5:37am

@Bill: Thank you Bill! No, they are 19 months apart but having them dressed the same on such trips helps me keep truck of them - they are just too crazy sometimes! They will climb anything they can, they will explore every inch of a forest so it's either the same colours or a leash! (grin)

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

Am I seeing double???? Its a fairy adventure!!!!

17 Apr 2009 10:01am

@Linerberry: Almost! (grin)

Alivia from Saint-Etienne, France

l'aventure est dans la forêt !!

Marion from Cincinnati, United States

a very fun capture! are they jumping down into the stump....or am I the only one who is "stumped" and cannot quite figure out what they are up to? ;)
You are absolutely right ...dressing them the same is better than a least; it would just get tangled in the brushes. :)

17 Apr 2009 11:38am

@Marion: They were just going to the top and then back down again. Yeah, one dog on the leash seems to be enough of pain in the neck! :)

Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South Africa

What a fabulous place to go exploring!!! Definitely hobbits to be found around there! :) Great shot

17 Apr 2009 12:13pm

@Mandy Provan: Thank you! The girls had fun!

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

What FUN! It looks as though Tara is about to step on Paige's head, which wouldn't be fun for Paige! :D
Maybe we should get out into the woods and start climbing ... we might be more fit!

17 Apr 2009 1:33pm

@Judy: It does but there was no accidents this time! :) I think I'm just going to watch them climb! ha ha

Mariana from waterloo, Canada

Beautiful photo. Very cool to see these two little girl climbing that dry tree .

17 Apr 2009 2:01pm

@Mariana: They will try to climb anything!

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

What great fun!! Your daughters bring out the eternal grandpa in me!!

17 Apr 2009 2:52pm

@john4jack: :)

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

PS - I was born to be a grandpa. It took me a while to find my true vocation in life (my kids were late producers, an absolute requirement for having raised them).

17 Apr 2009 2:54pm

@john4jack: I need you here then! Tara and Paige would love to get spoiled! Their grandparents are far, far away so we don't get to see them too often! :(

Craig from Vacaville, California, United States

It looks to be incredible fun!

17 Apr 2009 3:39pm

@Craig: We had a blast!

@Bill: Thank you Bill!

Bill from Los Altos, United States

Magda, understand about siblings. On Sunday my son Will turns five. He is the same age as Olvia for 11 days until she turns six later this month. It is great when they play well together. Smart parenting to dress them for quick searching.

18 Apr 2009 10:25am

@Bill: Wow! That is close in age! :) I remember it being so hard at the beginning but seeing the girls now, so close together is without doubt, the best feeling any parent can experience.
