I also thought "fairy tale" or maybe an illustration from a children's book from the past. Lovely. Only their clothes bring this to the present time.

Extremely great photo and processing. It is a super portrait! I'm impressed! You managed very good with the light. I assume you used a soft flash for the foreground? Did you apply some textures?

@Albert: Thank you very much! This was just a "quick" shot on our walk.... I wish I had a tripod with me that day.... The light was just right - I didn't have to do anything but press the button ;) And, yes I applied texture to give it extra character

@Anita: I used one of the textures by pareeerica on flickr... I don't know the name of this texture but will try and find it for you. I also used canvas texture in Photoshop.
