Neighbourhood Kids Series - Image #6 (Ellena)

Over the past two weeks I took photographs of all the neighbourhood kids that visit our house daily. All of them are wonderful kids that play a huge role in our everyday lives. Paige and Tara adore them and treat them as family.
I have a full permission from their parents to post them here on AM3. :)

Very nicely done with an excellent use of DOF and selective focus. Just an idea, but this image suggests to me a square crop from near the top and down.

@Bill Jennings: Thank you Bill! I just wish I didn't rush with this one! It was one of the last images from that photo shoot and we were losing daylight. I forgot to increase the ISO, which would allow me for a higher shutter speed eliminating the hand shake. Well, lesson learned - don't rush! ;) Easier said than done sometimes, eh?! (grin)

This is yet another fantastic portrait Magda! This series says to me that you have a natural talent in portraiture that puts your subjects at ease. I, for one, find that very difficult to do.... hence the focus on landscapes and inanimate objects. This series ranks at 5 stars in my opinion!

Wow, I love the perspective of this and your dof is amazing. I love how the ground is blurred right in front of the girl....another thing I definitely need to try. Your talent is certainly one of my great inspirations and motivator...maybe one day, I will be able to produce like you :)

i like the low ground perspective, she has a beautifull smile, thow you really risked the low speed on this one, @75mm 1/60, if this was for a pro job it could be the diference for a great shaked photo, sorry for the tech hint i guess you know this already.

I wrote to Bill Jennings how much I wished I had more daylight for this shot so I could use higher shutter speed, especially taking this one without a tripod. I want to re-do this one to make it better. :) I'm glad that you can see it. Those comments are the most valuable for me. Thank you for stopping by.
