Dance Power (5/6)Posted by Magda (Vancouver, Canada) on 1 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Don't forget, tomorrow's Silly Tuesday!!! :) ******************************************************* We have had some interesting challenges here on AM3 - B&W street photographs, self-portraits, and the ongoing favorite "Silly Tuesday". Now I feel like it's time for something new. I have a few random ideas that are mainly based on the fact that they are far outside my usual comfort zone - - an exploration of a single color, maybe a favorite color Any other thoughts? Any takers? Thank you so much for taking your time to visit and comment on my photographs. It is greatly appreciated! :)

I have been wondering - what mode do you shoot in? 1 Jun 2009 6:58am @Mandy Provan: Thank you Mandy! It took me many tries to get the make-up just right for the competitions! ;) I shoot in manual with manual focus most of the time because the lens has a mind of its own and I lost too many great shots when the focus was "off" the subject. Ian Bramham from Manchester, United Kingdomgreat use of colour and dof + I love the angled composition! 1 Jun 2009 7:24am @Ian Bramham: Thank you Ian! Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesI like all of your ideas for a challenge. This is not my favorite shot of your daughter. I'm just too use to seeing her beauty. 1 Jun 2009 7:41am @Craig: Thank you Craig! Those ideas came from Willow.... I'm hoping that more of AM3 members will join in the fun! ;) Just remember Craig that those images are from a dance competition. I'm not used to seeing my girls looking like this also. ;) I don't like seeing them in make-up (too young for that!)so thank goodness it happens only few times a year! :-) Thank you for being honest! Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesLittle girls love to 'dress up' so I'm sure this was fun for them, however, there are plenty of years ahead for makeup. <grin> 1 Jun 2009 11:16am @Judy: Tara didn't mind as much but Paige had hard time with the make-up... a lot of tears! ;) But, we all survived! hahaha Marion from Cincinnati, United StatesMagda, great angle! I love how you focused on the make-up. Great job, they sure have to sit really still for these eyeliners :) My girl just could not do that! Maybe by the next performance. :) 1 Jun 2009 11:49am @Marion: Thank you Marion. The make-up isn't easy to put on, that's for sure but after many tries we did it! :) Sarito from Basingstoke, United KingdomWhat a beautiful series of photos..
