Mithun Varma from Bangalore, IndiaNice capture Magda! The title was excellent! The photo portrays the tussle between the birds for space well. :) 23 Feb 2009 6:05am @Mithun Varma: Thank you Mithun! San G. from Encino, California, United StatesThis is an interesting way to feed the birds. We have a different kind, maybe I'll post a shot or two sometime. What do you feed them? 23 Feb 2009 9:45am @San G.: We get a lot of different species of birds in our backyard so we have different feeders to suit their needs. :) This feeder prevents starlings from eating all the suet that we offer to the birds that we want in our backyard. The suet is very popular with woodpeckers, chickadees, bushtits, nuthatches and flickers that visit our feeders daily. It's fun to watch them hang up side down Sarito from Basingstoke, United KingdomExcellent shot... Portrays the hustle and bustle of their life very nicely! 23 Feb 2009 10:23am @Sarito: Thank you! They always come in large flocks like this. So fun to watch them. They are smaller than a chickadee, very cute! Angela from Halifax, United StatesGreat shot. Very unusual behavior for birds...well maybe hiding form the rain isn't so unusual!! :) Nicely done. 23 Feb 2009 11:50am Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesI love your title ... so fitting for these little fellows. They're obviously thrilled with your offerings! Great shot! 23 Feb 2009 12:31pm @Judy: We love watching them. The girls absolutely enjoy seeing them hang up side down. The birds enjoy the suet we offer and don't seem to mind this kind of feeder at all! I guess it gives them extra protection - can't be seen from above. ;) Marion from Liberty Township, United Statesamazing! I don't think I have birds seen hang up-side-down before! what a great capture! :) 23 Feb 2009 12:32pm Elora from Genoa, ItalyVery nice Magda! Love the classic "Vancouver" shot! (Oh how I miss Vancouver rain.....) 23 Feb 2009 1:27pm @Elora: Thank you Elora! :) I don't miss the rain but that's the first thing that comes to mind when talking about Vancouver. Isn't it?! (grin) But yes, what a beautiful place to live.... I love it here! :) @Sandrine: Thank you! :) Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainIncredible! I like very much this image, and I'm very surprised. I see you are again connected right :) 23 Feb 2009 6:30pm @Paco Díaz: Thank you! Yes, I am connected now. I had to ask for help but it's all working now. :) Bill from Belton, United StatesAmazing! I count 10 tails in this image. How do that many birds manage to convene in such a small place? A superb shot Magda! Technicals are perfection! 23 Feb 2009 7:18pm @Bill: They are small, about 2/3rds of a chickadee and come in to the feeders in large groups. The feeder is about 6 inches square. I've seen around two dozen birds trying to fit in there at once. ;) Good luck counting them! (grin) @Bertrand Duhamel: Thank you! Charles from New York, United StatesAwesome shot. I have never seen anything like that before. You must go through a lot of bird seed! 24 Feb 2009 2:45am @Charles: Thank you Charles! Yes, we do go through a lot of bird food! :) But, it's all well worth it! EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomHa ha Such a wonderful photograph. 25 Feb 2009 6:45pm Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandOh, this is a great shot ... and they are not stupid, funny how they are hiding from the rain! 27 Feb 2009 2:29am @Monique: :) Thank you! More like they are hungry! @greg: Thank you! Eric from Bartlett, United Stateswow, great shot! Are they eating, or just taking cover in the rain? 18 Mar 2009 2:18pm @Eric: Thank you Eric! They are eating. ;) Nabeel Tahir from PakistanWONDERFUL, just see how birds are trying to get cover from rain :) 25 Mar 2009 8:25pm AJSilva from Paços de Ferreira, PortugalSplendid! you see interesting things!
