Today's Challenge - My Special PlacePosted by Magda (Vancouver, Canada) on 7 November 2008 in People & Portrait. Well, this is my second favourite place - at the front of my computer screen viewing my daily photographs. I spend most of my evenings here. When the house is quiet and all tidied up I can sit down and play with my photos as much as my heart desires... :) But, my favourite spot of all is our backyard when I can sit down in my couch-swing and relax.... Then I can trully enjoy the beautiful flowers, birds and listen to my girls squealing in delight... Unfortunately, it's pouring rain, cold and grey out there now, so the computer will have to do until Spring.... I understand that this isn't a quality photograph but it's the only image I can come up with at this moment to fit today's theme. ;) Thank you so much for taking your time to visit and comment on my photographs. It is greatly appreciated! :)

I tried figuring the challenge out, and thought about the dining table with extended family all around it, or our backyard with its surprises and fun, and then I wondered where I spend most of my time ... in front of the computer - looking at photographs! Not having a shot like that, I went with the ancestral shot of Norway ... and a few more photos in the wings in days to come. I appreciate that you have this great shot of you "in the act of being in your favorite place." 7 Nov 2008 8:26pm Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesOh... I just LOVE to play around with the photos... so I know how you feel... 7 Nov 2008 9:36pm Bill from Belton, United StatesSo many of us find that the computer and our photos, if not the first choice, is indeed a shared choice. I think this is a great shot that tells the story you wished to tell. 8 Nov 2008 12:16am Shawna from Regina, CanadaThanks so much for telling me I was on the spotlight page. I didn't know!! I also didn't know there was a challenge going on. 8 Nov 2008 2:14am Shawna from Regina, CanadaMe again, Thanks for all the very nice comments on my images. I use PS minimally. I love HDR so I use Photomatix for that and I am lazy and I go searching for actions that I like. It makes life so much easier. I shoot everything raw so I love Camera Raw and use that all the time. 8 Nov 2008 2:26am Nan from Quezon City, PhilippinesI can totally relate. At the end of the day, it's us and out little PC's with the photos. Here's my part for the challenge. :) 8 Nov 2008 3:37am PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United StatesNice Image Magda, and what a monitor!!
